You’re a Goddess

Everyone shouldn’t devour your flower;

We can create life, which makes us closest to God;

God knew Adam needed a helpmate;

He took Adam rib and made Eve;

He didn’t make Eve to be a side chick;

Or to be abused by Adam;

God made Eve for Adam not Adam for Eve;

Men need us more than we need them;

When we realize this, we will rule the world;

You’re a Goddess;

Now start acting like one!

Exposure of the truth.

Is Texting the new Phone Conversation?

Unfortunately, I think it is.

This dating generation is terrible. I mean really terrible; people don’t call each other, they rather text all day. Like really, what’s wrong with you, why can’t you hold a conversation over the phone. I found myself arguing through a text message with this guy and I thought to myself, this is crazy. I’m morphing into this generation where you avoid real interaction with people. For instance, this 37 year old guy I was dating was arguing with me through a text message. A 37 year old arguing through a text message is baffling to me. You’re too old to act this way, but then again, age is nothing but a number. Why can’t you pick up the phone and talk to me, or better yet, let’s meet each other to discuss the many reasons why i’m selfish. There’s always something I’m not doing right (eye rolling hard!! ).

I’m not sure what happen to phone conversations but this is something i’m not going to put up with. If you want to ask me out, you have to pick up the phone and dial my number. Stop being afraid of having nothing to talk about and just pick up the phone, grow some balls! For instance, when I recently dabbled into the dating world, this guy never called me, he only text. So when we finally met on our first date, I  forgot how his voice was. I wanted to laugh because the voice didn’t fit his image but it grew on me. If you don’t talk to someone on the phone you will forget how they sound when you’re meeting up with them and be caught off guard. I can go on about human interaction but, I’m going to save this topic for a later time.

Moral of the story, stop texting and call people. You can’t get to know someone through text messages.

Do we Cling to past behaviors?

guardedAre we subconsciously guilty of this? I cling to my past behaviors by subconsciously being guarded when it comes to men. I’m unaware at the time, but when I look back at the past, I can definitely understand when they say “why are you not open with me”. Being guarded is my defense mechanism for preventing an emotional roller coaster ride, but somehow, i’m always the first in line to buy a ticket (I questioned my own intelligence sometimes haha).

With men you never know, one minute they’re here and the next they’re gone and they leave you with riddles… Like wait, I was falling for you, come back; was this even real? Maybe that’s my problem, I fall too easily for men, which in return creates this guarded person, who I don’t want to be. When you’re unaware of your past behaviors your subconscious will gladly sabotage your current situation, not on purpose, but, just because she can.

As if life doesn’t give you enough lemons.

Floating Memories

Float into the ocean

Float into the sea

Float to wherever you want to be

Drift to a place where you’re thinking of me

Float into past memories

Float into past memories of me

Float into the memory you use to care for me

Float into the happy place where we loved to dance

Float into your memory, your memory of me

How you use to hold me so tightly

Float into the memories where you’re looking at me

Float back to me

Float back to the memories of me.

The One That Got Away…

Have you ever been drawn to someone while you’re in a relationship and when the relationship ended the person you was drawn to wasn’t available? This happened to me five years ago, I was in a relationship with this guy who was playing me (didn’t have a clue at the time) however, this guy I worked with was always there for me, giving me advice but never once did he say you should breakup with him.

He told me I shouldn’t date anyone with an occupation that ends with player (baseball player, basketball player, football player, etc.) and surprisingly I still hold on to that til this day. He was in a relationship and he was going to purpose to his soon to be fiance on their anniversary the following week. I was excited and sad at the same time. Facing the harsh reality that we will never be. I remember he said I wish I met you first, but  if we were suppose to be together, we would be together. I still think about him every now and then and wonder what if he met me first?

And just like that he was gone

Here’s To You!

This year has been a whirlwind for me; if someone predicted my year  I would completely laugh in their face, like what, no way! That will never happen! Isn’t that the beauty of life, never knowing what’s going to happen? I have to admit this year has been one of the worst years I’ve had in a very VERY long time. I’ve never felt so lost and confused in life, some say you’re going through a mid-life crisis. Others say it’s your season to reinvent yourself however i’m not sure what’s going on with me.

I don’t know about you but i’m really excited about 2017; I hope my life will make a complete turnaround in every aspect. So here’s to you, I know if not all, but most of us had a very struggling year. I applaud all of you for pushing through every breakup, job loss, death, emotional roller coaster ride, tears, frustration, and  any ups and downs.

Here’s to you, a standing ovation.

Let’s make 2017 a better year for all of us.

Life as we Know It.

You’re here today, gone tomorrow

You left the world with regret and sorrow

Enthusiasm was never apart of your daily routine

Now you have to face reality

You only had one life to live

But now you’re given a second chance

So don’t go through life with sorrow

Go through life with joy and excitement

Because you’ll never know

You might only have tomorrow.
