Empty Promises

promise

We ALL heard it before, “I promise, this time will be different” and deep down you know it’s not. Why do we as a society hold onto empty promises? We know the person isn’t sincere, especially if the person cheated, lied, or mistreated you constantly. God does not give us empty promises, he actually gives us promises he will keep. “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope“. Jeremiah 29:11

Letting go of empty promises is an amazing feeling, trust me I know, I have been dealing with bad relationships ever since I was in high school. Take it from me you will feel free from those empty promises. I know it’s hard to let go but in due time you’ll become tired of those empty promises. You did nothing wrong, you have a big heart, that person does not deserve you. If someone “loves” you they wouldn’t produce empty promises.

Why waste your life holding onto empty promises when you can start living?

About ChristinaDemerisVlog

Welcome to my blog, I'm a person who blogs about anything that comes to mind. I enjoy writing my thoughts into poems; I'm trying out a new thing "living by faith and not by sight" and I hope I can inspire someone out there to live the same way. I'm a daughter, sister, best friend, and coworker to the most wonderful people I have ever met! I have an obsession with cats and Oreo's maybe because my cat was white and black haha ;). I enjoy exploring new things, meeting new people, trying new dishes and enjoying life. I follow my own theory "you only get one life, so make it count". You can't live your life for others, you have to live it for yourself because in the end, you'll have regret! Christina Demeris
